Italcurvati is a family-run company with 25 employees, boasting more than 50 years of experience in hardwood bending. Its main role is supplying chair manufacturing companies of the renowned Chair District where its legal and operating headquarters are.

Since the Nineties, the company has been experiencing continuous growth, as has the surrounding industrial area. However, at the end of the decade, new Eastern European operators entered the wood market triggering a slow and gradual crisis of the sector, even worsened by the horrible attack of September 11th 2001. Such factors obliged the company to look for new markets and study new products, investing considerable resources to buy new machineries and provide employees with vocational training in order to confer added value to its products and offer clients a wider range of services.

In recent years Italcurvati has paid attention also to the environmental level when, in 2011, it installed a 200 kW photovoltaic system on its production plant. Moreover in early 2013 it obtained the FSC® certification. Now the company is considering to install a co-generation system using wood to fuel the plant itself.

Today Italcurvati is able to offer several hardwood products upon specific requests starting from a paper project or a CAD digital support supplied by customers. Besides traditional chair elements, it is able to manufacture wood components for furniture, furnishing accessories, different assembled elements for frameworks, tables, beds, barrique barrels and much more.
